Our driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Fes at approximately 8:00 am. Next, depart for our three-day Sahara desert tour, which will take us through the middle Atlas Mountains and from Fes to Marrakech. Our Fes Sahara Marrakech trip will begin and end in “Ifrane,” also referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Enjoy the breathtaking views of Ifrane and the forest there. After that, we’ll make a stop at “Azrou” to see the monkeys in the forest of cedar trees (Barbary McDonald). On the way, we’ll have time to snap photos with the monkeys. Later, while taking in the views of the Ziz gorges, we will travel toward the Sahara desert and cross the “Tizi n’Talghamt pass” to arrive at the city of “Errachidia.” Additionally, we will have free time to capture special moments and photos in the expansive “Ziz valley” vistas. We proceed on our road trip to Merzouga Erg Chebbi, passing through the Tafilalte Oasis, known for its fossils, museums, and dates, “Aoufous” and “Erfoud.” We’re going to visit a nearby fossil craft studio.

We will arrive in the Merzouga Sahara desert two or three hours before sunset. Where you will relish an experience of a lifetime. To get to our desert camp, we first rode camels into the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. The camel ride adventure lasts for about 1:30 hours, with a break at the top of the dune to take in the breathtaking sunset views, try sandboarding (optional), and snap some unforgettable photos.

After that, you’ll proceed to the camp, where you’ll be greeted with a glass of mint tea and allowed to unwind until suppertime. Following supper, you can enjoy authentic Berber drumming music, take in the starry sky, shoot stars, roast a campfire, and converse with nomads about their cultures and histories. Next, take a nap in your own desert tent like a nomad.

On our itinerary for our three-day tour from Fes to Marrakech the next day. You’ll rise early to witness a magnificent dawn over Merzouga erg Chebbi. Following breakfast and a shower in the desert camp, we return you to Merzouga Village via 4WD or camel trekking, depending on your preference. After that, we’ll take a car to Rissani, where we’ll explore a fossil museum and take a stroll through the old-world market. After that, our three-day tour of the Moroccan desert passes through numerous Arabic and Berber villages, including Mellab, Tinjdad, Jourf, and the last one known for its ancient irrigation system’s wells. There will be a stop so we can check out this attraction. Mellab or Tinjdad will be the lunch location (Optional).

The Todra Valley and its roughly 300-meter-tall canyons will be the site of the next attraction. Water could also find a way through the rocks on its own. Hiking and rock climbing are popular in this Gorge. Ultimately, we will travel to Dades Gorge, where we will spend the next night in a riad, marking the second night of our journey.

Our three-day desert tour from Fez to Marrakech will conclude with breakfast overlooking the magnificent Dades Gorge. then proceed through the Roses Valley and Skoura Oasus palm groves on our way to Marrakech.

After traveling 27 kilometers, we will arrive at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, in Ouarzazate, where we will also have a brief visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt. Many Hollywood films, such as “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Gladiator,” “Kingdom of Heaven,” “Prince of Persia,” and many more, were filmed against this backdrop. The exotic architecture and cultures of Morocco are reflected in the kasbahs, or fortresses.

Following our exploration of the kasbah, we will travel a little further through the “Tichka pass” in the High Atlas Mountains, arriving in Marrakech, where our three-day journey from Fes to the Sahara desert ends.
