Tangier to Sahara desert tour 4 Days
We will pick you up from the port or hotel at about 8:00 AM, after which our driver/guide will begin his tour by driving you north to see the Riff Mountains, Tetouan, and Chefchaouen. Finally, we will conclude our visit to the ancient medina. Because of its Spanish design, the square is really interesting to tourists. Before our journey continues to Fez city, you will also notice a large selection of artisan stores, eateries with outdoor seating, and cafes where you can unwind and enjoy a meal. Spend the night in a hotel or riad.
On the 2nd day, we will drive to Merzouga passing through the middle Atlas mountains.
We’ll start our journey in “Ifrane,” a city dubbed “Morocco’s Switzerland” due to its Alpine chalet-style architecture and atmosphere. “Azrou” cedar forests will be our next stop. Barbary apes can be seen at the roadside, where you can pull over and take pictures. Then, winding your way through wooded peaks, winding mountain streams, gushing springs, and breathtaking, jagged rock walls as you pass over the fascinating Atlas Mountains, which are holding up the sky. In addition, we will reach Midelt, where we will stop for lunch (Optional).
Proceeding to Erfoud, you will drive through Tafilalt Oasis, thousands of towering palm trees, and fortified Kasbahs as you traverse Ziz Valley. Proceeding to Merzouga Erg Chebbi, you will have the opportunity to trek on camels through the orange dunes to arrive at OurSahara desert Camp Merzouga. Your camel ride experience lasts about two hours, including a stop at the top of the dune to witness a spectacular sunset, try out some sandboarding (optional), take in the scenery, and snap some photos.
You will then proceed to the camp, where you will be given a glass of tea upon arrival and be able to unwind until dinnertime. After supper, enjoy the starry sky, shooting stars, campfire, and sharing cultures and histories with the nomads while listening to some traditional Berber drumming music. Next, take a nap in your own desert tent.
On our itinerary for our 4-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech the next day. You’ll rise early to witness a magnificent dawn over Merzouga erg Chebbi. Following breakfast and a shower in the desert camp, we return you to Merzouga Village via 4WD or camel trekking, depending on your preference. After that, we’ll take a car to Rissani, where we’ll explore a fossil museum and take a stroll through the old-world market. After that, our 4-day tour of the Moroccan desert passes through numerous Arabic and Berber villages, including Mellab, Tinjdad, Jourf, and the last one known for its ancient irrigation system’s wells. There will be a stop so we can check out this attraction. Mellab or Tinjdad will be the lunch location (Optional).
The Todra Valley and its roughly 300-meter-tall canyons will be the site of the next attraction. Water could also find a way through the rocks on its own. Hiking and rock climbing are popular in this Gorge. Ultimately, we will travel to Dades Gorge, where we will spend the next night in a riad, marking the second night of our journey.
Our 4 day desert tour from Tangier to Marrakech will conclude with breakfast overlooking the magnificent Dades Gorge. then proceed through the Roses Valley and Skoura Oasus palm groves on our way to Marrakech.
After traveling 27 kilometers, we will arrive at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, in Ouarzazate, where we will also have a brief visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt. Many Hollywood films, such as “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Gladiator,” “Kingdom of Heaven,” “Prince of Persia,” and many more, were filmed against this backdrop. The exotic architecture and cultures of Morocco are reflected in the kasbahs, or fortresses.
