Marrakech to sahara desert tour 3 Days
Our driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech at around 8:00 AM. Next, we depart for Dades Valley on our private three-day tour from Marrakech to the Sahara desert. We will first traverse the “Tizi N’Tichka” Pass. And the High Atlas Mountains, where we will see magnificent Berber villages that have been blended into the surrounding scenery. After that, we’ll go on to Ait Ben Haddou. This castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that we will visit. Many Hollywood films, such as “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Gladiator,” “Kingdom of Heaven,” “Prince of Persia,” and many more, were filmed against this backdrop. The exotic architecture and cultures of Morocco are reflected in the kasbahs, or fortresses. We will go a little farther to Ouarzazate after touring the kasbah. You can eat lunch there.
The town of Kalaat M’gouna, which is well-known for the annual “Roses Festival,” is where we end our three-day Marrakech desert trip. From there, we travel down the “road of thousand kasbahs” to Dades Valley, where we are treated to a breathtaking view of a vast valley dotted with tiny oasis and hundreds of historic fortifications. We will travel to “Dades Valley” in the evening and spend the night in a riad with dinner and breakfast.
On the second day of our three-day itinerary starting in Marrakech. Continues following a customary and delectable breakfast. After that, we’ll drive through the Dades Canyon, passing numerous picturesque Berber villages and old Kasbahs. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery as you travel through the last remaining fortified villages that served as the caravan routes up until the early 20th century. We’re going to Todra, which is a stunning 15-kilometer valley dotted with palm trees. On a walking tour within the Todra gorges, take in the striking high walls of grey and pink rock surrounding the road.
We will then carry on to Merzouga and the magnificent Erg Chebbi dunes. You will then embark on a roughly one-and-a-half-hour camel ride excursion. to reach your camp in the Sahara desert. You will stop in the middle of the sand dunes to watch the sunset during the camel trek. And if you’re interested, give the sandboarding exercise a try. Enjoy the scenery and snap some photos. Your camel ride continues into the camp after the sun sets, where you’ll be greeted with a glass of mint tea. Enjoy dinner, a campfire, starry skies, Berber music, and an overnight stay in a nomadic desert camp amidst Merzouga sand dunes at the camp.
You will rise early on the final day of the three-day Marrakech desert tour to take in the sunrise camel ride over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. We will return to Merzouga from the desert camp after breakfast, either by 4WD vehicle or, if you prefer, by camel ride.
We are going to traverse the Draa Valley. Moving on to the last portion of our tour, we will pass through Nqob before returning to Ouarzazate. We’re going to have a relaxed lunch.
