Around 8:00 AM we will our direction to Assilah, and en route, we will stop at the Hercule Caves, located in Tangier’s Atlantic Ocean. Next, proceed to Asillah, where we will have free time to explore the medina’s historic architecture and breathtaking views. We continue on to Rabat, the capital city of Morocco, where we spend the night in a riad.

The second day of our 8-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech will be spent visiting the main attractions of Rabat, including the Royal Palace and the mausoleums of Hassan II and Muhammad V, two leaders who had close ties to the Jewish community. Proceed through the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen from there. After our afternoon arrival in Chefchaouen, you will have free time to explore this charming town and spend the night in your riad while taking in the views of the Rif Mountains.

Our 8-day desert tour from Tangier proceeds towards Volubilis crossing via Ouazan and other Rif villages following a delicious breakfast in the riad. We will explore the Roman ruins and gain knowledge of Moroccan history in Volubilis. After that, we’ll travel to Meknes City, a 17th-century historical site, where we’ll eat lunch, explore the ancient walls of the medina, see bab el Mansour, and take in a tour of Moulay Ismail Greenery. We travel to Fes city later in the afternoon, where you will stay the night.

Today, on this full-day excursion to Fes, you will explore Morocco’s cultural capital. Founded in the ninth century, Fes el Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to the oldest university in the world. When Fes took over as the kingdom’s capital from Marrakech during the Merinid dynasty in the 13th and 14th centuries, it achieved its zenith both economically and culturally. Despite this, Rabat became Morocco’s new political capital in 1919. Fes continues to be the nation’s hub for artisans.

The medina’s artisan workshops continue to operate today just as they did a century ago, and they play a significant role in the industrial economy of the city. These workshops still carry out trades like blacksmithing, leatherworking, ceramics, silk, tapestries, and sculpting. This ancient city, with its estimated 9000 narrow passageways and busy streets, is still guarded by its original ramparts.

After breakfast in your hotel or riad, the fourth day of our 8-day desert tour from Tangier to Marrakech gets underway. After that, take a drive to Morocco’s fascinating Sahara desert.

The middle Atlas Mountains will be traversed by us. We will begin our journey in “Ifrane city,” also referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” There, you can take in the breathtaking views and the city’s forest. A stop at “Azrou” will be made later to observe the monkeys in the cedar forest (Barbary Macaque). On the way, we’ll have time to snap photos with the monkeys.

We’re going to visit a nearby fossil craft studio. We will arrive in the Sahara desert three hours before sunset. Where you will relish an experience of a lifetime. We begin by riding camels into the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi to get to our opulent Merzouga Sahara camp. The camel ride adventure lasts for about two hours, with a break at the top of the dune to take in the breathtaking sunset views and go sandboarding (optional).

Savor the scenery and capture moments to remember. After that, you’ll proceed to the camp, where you’ll be greeted with a glass of mint tea and allowed to unwind until suppertime. Following dinner, you can enjoy listening to traditional Berber drumming music, taking in the starry sky, shooting stars, campfires, and exchanging stories and cultures with nomadic people. Next, take a nap in your own desert tent like a nomad.

You’ll get up early to witness the breathtaking dawn over the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. In the camp, breakfast and showers. After that, you can choose to travel to Merzouga Desert Village in a 4WD jeep or on the back of a camel. We will travel through Rissani on our way to Ouarzazate via the Morocco desert road, stopping there to explore the traditional market—which is thought to be the biggest in the South of Morocco. After that, we’ll go on to Alnif, Tazarine, and the Draa Valley, which has Amridil Kasbah and an amazing oasis with palm trees. Upon reaching Ouarzazate, Spend the night in a lovely riad.

On the final day of our 8-day tour, which took us via Merzouga from Tangier to Marrakech. We are going to the well-known Kasbah of Taourirt. We will arrive at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, after traveling 27 km on the road. Many Hollywood films, such as “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Gladiator,” “Kingdom of Heaven,” “Prince of Persia,” and many more, were filmed against this backdrop. The exotic architecture and cultures of Morocco are reflected in the kasbahs, or fortresses.

Following our exploration of the kasbah, we will travel a little further through the “Tichka pass” in the High Atlas Mountains, arriving in Marrakech, where our 8-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech, Morocco, comes to an end.
